Kindly be informed of the events happening at Berjaya Times Square this weekend.
Details are as follows:
1) Japan GT Championship 2006 Roadshow
Date: 16/6/06 - 18/6/06
Time: 10am - 11pm
Venue: Grand Concourse, Berjaya Times Square
This roadshow is held in conjunction with the Japan GT Championship 2006. Among the events that have been lined up for this roadshow are: question and answer trivia quiz on the event, jigsaw puzzle contests, a special appearance by the Japan GT babes, colouring contests, Tamiya race car contests, simulator challenge, sumo wrestling, sushi eating contest, motorsport rhythm and dance performance, photography sessions for the public with the Japan GT babes and models and Ms Malaysia Japan GT Beauty contest 2006.
Apart from that, there will also be an official signing ceremony between Sepang International Circuit and Tan Chong Motors Sdn Bhd at 2pm on Saturday 17/6/06 and RTM as the official broadcaster on Sunday 18/6/06. Also on Sunday 18/6/2006, there will be a flag-off of the Japan GT Look-alike cars by VIPs. Don't miss out on all the action!
2) The Rhythm Champion Battle of the Band
Date: 17/6/06
Time: 1pm - 6pm
Venue: Boulevard, Berjaya Times Square
The third semi-finals will see bands across the peninsular Malaysia show off their talents and battle it out to see which band will qualify for the finals. A total of 4 semifinals will be held whereby judges will select the best 5 bands each from the 4 semifinals to proceed to the final. A total of 20 bands will do battle in their quest to become the ultimate "Battle of The Band" Champion.
3) HUKM Clinical Booth Programme
Date: 17/06/06 & 18/06/06
Time: 10am - 8pm
Venue: 3rd Floor South West, Berjaya Times Square
Hospital University Kebangsaan Malaysia (HUKM) is organizing a clinical booth programme. The objective of this programme is to create health awareness among the public. Basic health screenings for blood pressure, cholesterol & sugar level checks will be conducted during the programme.
4) Allianz Malaysia Nationwide Blood Donation Campaign
Date: 17/6/06
Time: 10.30am - 8pm
Venue: Lower Ground West, Berjaya Times Square
The "What Type Are You?" campaign will be held simultaneously on 17 June 2006 across 26 centres around Malaysia, with most centres operating from morning till evening. Almost always there seems to be demand for blood in Malaysia. In Klang Valley alone an average of 300 to 400 units of blood is needed everyday to help the patients in need.
Allianz General Insurance Malaysia Berhad believes that this campaign will not only help replenish the blood bank which in turn will save lives but is also a community project that goes a long way. Incidentally, this campaign is also held in conjunction with the World Blood Donor Day, 14 June 2006.
